It looks like a excursion or something but the small window in the middle makes me think its something custom. It had a huge front and rear custom bumper, and some massive leaf springs. Any ideas?

Definitely looks like an Excursion, but it looks like it has been extended......or, had it's rear window chopped down.

If you look close, does it look like that tiny window is on a suicide door???
I would say the rear gate is a dead giveaway for Excursion... Did anyone else use a split-rear tailgate like that?

It looks like a crew cab superduty had an ex back end and an extended cab back portion grafted on as well...
looks good tho

That is a custom job. The badge style on the back was never used on Excursions. I'm thinking its either a converted Econoline or F-series. Probably a strip chassis either way. Be easier to tell if you could have gotten a pic of the front.

Way too long to be a stock excursion. Willing to bet its a longbed crew cab super duty done up custom.

It looks longer than a Mormon clothes line and home made.It has a real 8 mile per gallon look to it too.Maybe it was made to haul crews or something special.

Im not so sure about that... 3 door excursions are not unheard off. Obviously custom, but they exist... Nevermind stretch limos and shit.

The front clip is definitely 08-10 S/D as well because of the fender vent.

the side steps and the roof rack make me think it's some sort of government vehicle for swat type operations. most likely heavily armored due to the massive leaf springs you said you saw. it doesn't look like any of the side windows open either since there's no trim or gap around the windows (bullet proof), but my guess is the little window behind the doors does. the silver box thing on top looks like it may be for a machine gun turret too.

I agree with mac on this one. Looks to me like there are grab handles on the sides of the roof box so that you could stand on the running boards and not fall off, roof box is either storage or a turret hole, doors and windows are out of proportion, leading me to believe they're bulletproofed, and the license plate looks to be special.
The lack of markings on the doors and sides is interesting though.
and definitely a newer style front end on it.
Also the body is wider than the original excursion based on the proportions of the rear window.

I'd be willing to venture a guess to say it is a lengthened Excursion. Far as the side vents go, easy enough to put on to any fender, OR swap the frnot clip from a newer unit. You're talking about someone who stretched a vehicle... grafting in SD side vents or swapping a front clip isn't out of this world...

Probably a conversion. I have seen a few early 90s 4 door bronco-like creations in our dealership done by a company called Centurion. They graft a bronco rear end onto a 4 door F-series pickup. They look factory until you look at the roof and see all the body filler cracking out of the welded seams.

Haha. but how's the turning radius on yours Gwaii? lol
But also the rear end is wider than the stock excursion, and the split doors are taller than stock.

so similar to the QE2 then? lol.
let's just say i have to plan my turns.still,i don't know how those limo driver's with the real long rigs do it...especially in the city.
as for the truck in question,it's undoubtedly a conversion...but just what the purpose is would simply be speculation.

I noticed that too, I see more Econoline in the pillars than Excursion.

my first thought, its neat, my second thought is like others said it looks like a government/ military type vehicle.
I had a buddy send me a pic of an excursion convertible a couple years ago lol

Haha a convertible isn't that hard to do... my mom did that with our suburban once...
Forklift + large SUV + bad forklift driver = convertible!

not an excursion. they are a custom job out of white pigeon michigan. Centurion conversions, owned by southern comfort conversions. Built on an f550 chassis. You can tell by the 10 lug rims. ugly if you ask me.

We already figured out what it is and we know it's not a centurion.

apparently sir you didnt. that is not an excursion. they havent made the excursion since 05. they never had 10 lug rims nor that front sheetmetal arrangement. The door handles are wrong, they never had a third door, the body demensions are all incorrect. The mirrors are also incorrect.
They are built by a company in Texas that builds them for the FBI and DEA and other such outfits including private security companies such as Blackwater. I cannot find the link but they are armoured, weaponizable, and cost in the $300,000 range. Diesel powered and very fast/aggressive when it needs to be. It was featured on a show on the History channel.
