Is it possible to make my headlights come on when the truck turns on? Is does not sound like it is that difficult. Just wondering if anyone has done it.
 
sure, just install a relay connected to a key-on source.

a wiring schematic for your truck will help.

J.C. Whitney sells a daytime running light conversion for about 20 bucks. It comes with the relay and simple directions to install it. You can choose either full brightness or reduced intensity that extends headlight life.
