i was looking in to getting jl's 8w3v3 sub in there box with a alpine m500 to power it. does any one have this sub :icon_confused:
i'm look for a lil more bass not ear popping

The JL's are an awesome very high quality sub (No, I'm not a JL salesman). JL's can handle a lot of power, and sound great either with low or high power, I've overpowered JL's (4 times the rated power in competition) and they have never popped on me. JL subs are the only subs I'll ever run, and I've been running them for over 10 years now :icon_thumby:

ive got the 8w1v2 jls in my ranger and i love them, i dont have enough air space in my boxes so i polyfilled them and they still sound great. theyre not loud enough to attract attention from the outside, say if youre cruising through a neighborhood, but they can give you a headache inside the cab! heres a link to my thread on them

i know jl is one of the best. thats why i want one. i seen the set up on youtube in a chevy. i listen to country and a guy at a local shop made the place omg loud with a single 8'' sub to no bass country song

I'm running a JL XD 200/2 bridged to a JL 8w3v3 in a JL CP108LG box. Amp is under drivers seat and box is behind drivers seat. It's in a 2011 regular cab. Only loose one seat notch which is fine for me at 5' 10" tall.

You will not regret the JL 8W3 in the slot port box. I sell them all the time to guys who want good bass with minimal space loss. They are worth every penny. make sure to put a good amp on it and have it tuned for you and you will love it.
