inspection inside the bumper while checking the brackets for damage revealed a junkyard crayon marking indicating this bumper has been replaced before.
it looks worse than the pictures in real life, it's like my bumper has gone retard lip.
edit: i figure i should explain what happened.
normally i pull forward out of my spot since everybody is gone, but this time i was one spot to the right, where there's a guard rail that is below my sight line, and very narrow.
pulled forward and stopped on the rail, said 'oh ****' and then tried to back up, catching the corner of the bumper on it.
caught me good too, i'm sure the guy watching the security tapes tomorrow is going to get a kick out of my reverse burnout while i was trying to get myself unstuck.
ended up having to pull forward again, and back up, and eventually got free, and was left with that.
frame looks okay, fender has a little yellow paint on it but the metal isn't bent, so it's just going to be a bumper.
what i want to know is, can i swap on the 01+ bumper seperately from the 01+ grill and lights?
i eventually want to swap all of it, but i don't want to have to do it all at once.
