I looking at how i can get under that piece in front of the windshield where the wipers are. i need to replace a washer line and lookin to mount lights up there
 
You kinda cant easily. Should have a little access plate on your firewall you can wiggle your hand in or you have to cut a hole in your firewall. its a suck place to try and mount lights. Do a search there are a few past threads about it. Use cowling as a keyword.
 
How can i get under the piece in front of my window

You can see a small plastic plate on the DS outboard, then the WS wiper motor (comes out if you disconnect the linkage, PITA) then another blank plastic plate in the center, followed by the PCM. This is a 2000MY. Your 04 may vary, but similar. I'd take the hood off if you're serious about getting in there. 4 bolts.
