2.8 - 2.9 swap

I have an 88 ranger 5spd with a cracked head. Looking to put a 2.8 carb v6 in it. Will this bolt right up the the motor mounts? transmision? and what vehicles can i get this motor out of. mustang, bronco II, ranger?

Any Ranger 83 - 85 with the V6 will have it as well as BII's, Pintos had them in the 70's as well as Mustang and mustang II's.

The 2.8L should bolt right up... but why do you want to put a 2.8L in? wny not just get another 2.9L, more power and less trouble.

its just a woods beater. would rather just have a simple carb engine, plus im not abig fan of the 2.9

When you do put the 2.8 in it do the Duraspark conversion to it, theres a write up in the library about it.
