Hey everyone,
My name's Dan and I just got a 1996 Ford Ranger extended cab, 4.0L, 5 speed, with only 87,000 miles on it (an old military vet bought it new and barely drove it for 16 years). It's in great condition and I couldn't be more impressed with these trucks!
I am new to the Ford Ranger scene but not new to Fords at all. My family has 8 Ford Mustangs (ranging from 1965 -1969), a 1968 Mercury Cougar, and a 2002 E350 7.3L Powerstroke diesel lifted with 35s. I started building my 1966 Mustang when I was 13 and finished it when I was 17 (I put a 351W, with C4 auto in it, I did all new suspension, swapped to disc brakes, brand new interior, and all bodywork and paint). I love Ford trucks and the Rangers definately don't dissapoint.
I plan on keeping it stock for this year because I commute it to school (about 60 miles a day, 5 days a week) and there would be no point to lift it right now just to waste gas and tires. But, when I graduate from SJSU this December I will start the build.
All my friends bought Yotas and I would like to show them how an American truck can really wheel. Any thoughts/suggestions on what to do would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for looking and I hope to talk soon.
