i was looking at a trangulated 3 link design for my next project bronco 2, i am planning on streching the wheel base 15 inchs(to 110) and was going to use a gas tank out of a ranger that mounts to the side of the frame.(dont want to mount the tank inside the the truck) I want to do a 3 link in the back and came up with this for an idea and need some feedback

plus with this it will help prtect the drive shaft, the mount for the bottom T link would mount just below the output on the t-case and the uppers will mount on the outside of the frame.
also this truck will be drive on the road, ocassonly at hyw speeds, so i need something that can do 55-60 mph
any tips or info would be great
thanks

It will probably not flex much. Your upper and lower links will be fighting each other. You need a flexible joint at the axle end. Your thinking is okay, except your upper is completely backwards.

i would all heims at the axle and either bushings or monoballs at the frame side but set it up the dieselsmoke drew it

that wont work for me as it will hit the gas tank under flexing, hens the reason i have drew it up in the first post.

use a fuel cell inside there like a 100-200 bucks, if you going to spend the money to do a 3 link a fuel cell is nothing compared

Yes it will work and flex fine.

i had actually at one point kidnapped the enitre 3 like system from a aerostar along with the 7.5 and modified the setup togo under the ranger, if i wanted it to flex it woulda flexed its ass off, but it was in my 5.0 street pounder

I want to know more and see more pics of those coil mounts! Are they street legal? Would they pass state safety inspections? Very different. And look a little flimsy to me, but what do I know?
