Got myself into a little hobby over the winter. I've been picking up these old metal wagons to redo/customize. This is my first one.

Here's what I started with.

All straightened out

Wheels and prep

Painted and wheel mock up

My new handle came yesterday...sweet.

I have to paint all the axle carriers and bar for handle. Waiting for my springs to show up to lift it, then line-x the inside of it. Then it's ready to haul my beer cooler around to all the neighbors' houses. I picked up another one to make into a lowered rat rod. Thanks for looking, and post if you have any yourself.

^That's cool. I'm debating on wether or not I want to put a full chassis under my other one when I lower it.

i fixed this one up for the daughter's 5th birthday,it was a complete wreck when i found it....

she's 8 and a bit now,so it's had over three years of hauling rocks around and other abuse since then.i did a two-tone pink base/clear paint job with silver accents.

i knew the abuse it would have to endure,so i lined the floor with 3/16'' aluminum checker plate.....sure wish i'd taken a pic when it was still all shiny.

Looks like the pink one was pretty nice at one time. Nice work.

A little update. Herculined the inside of the tub.

And a pic of my stockpile of old wagons.

Awesome work! I'm glad I stumbled across this, I got a radioflyer when I was little and it's still laying around somewhere. This gave me a grea idea for a time-eater project!!

I really need to get this thing finished. I started working on my snowmobile and kind of put the wagon on the back burner for a bit.

Same thing happened to me... Sled got in the way and I never got around to painting the one I built. So as it sits, my god daughters grandmother went nuts on it with sand paper and silver spray paint:fie::annoyed:

Here is an update. I finally got around to lifting it. This is just a mock up to get an idea. I still have to finish the handle, paint the other two wheels, and then mount them. I personally think it's pretty awesome.
