hey im thinking about putting my chev 350 in my 84 4x4 ranger . i was just wondering what all i would need to do ? axles,motor mounts ?

Bein a 4X4, I'd say your biggest problem will be transfer case........

you would need an 88 up chevy transfer case for the d side drop

not a big deal if you can weld.tack weld the bottom half in with the engine and tranny where you want them . remove the engine and tranny and weld them in the rest of the way.

easier to just cut the bottom half out of something and use them

you have 2 pieces on a chevy. the steel "clamshell" and the rubber part that bolts to the frame. it is a rubber bushing wrapped in steel with bolt holes to bolt it to the frame.

check the engine swap thread. i have seen several here in the last few years. there was even a b2 with a 454.

Haven't done a square bodied Ranger yet, but it has been done..........
