My truck has 125,000 on it and ever sence I got it back in May the cam syncro has made a chirping sound. Normaly taking the sensor off and pouring a cap full of motor oil on the top of the syncro between oil changes did the trick. But tonight it turned into an almost constent chirping grinding noise so Im sure its time to change it out and Im gonna have go spend the $70 on the part 
I noticed the question on how to change it out comes up pretty often on the forum so luckily Im gonna do a write up on changing the syncro out. Good news for you
