Question about this pic

I was looking through the TTB Dana 44 swap section and found this pic with the sway bar links gone and what appear to be shocks in its place. Does anyone know anything about this setup in the link below?

it appears whoever did that just decided to used the sway bar mount as shock mounts after they took the sway bar off. unless im completely missing something.

that's a common place to mount shocks,i do it all the time.what i find funny is that what's pictured isn't a d44.

edit-my mistake....it is,too.doh!
