ok so i was just wondering if i dont get the parts truck would it be possible to replace my front clip with that of another year

Anything is possible. Mcneil racing makes fiberglass conversions.

its a ranger son, damn near everything is plug and play on them.
pretty much get a donor front end and pull it apart and label it and replace it on your truck in reverse order

you can put a second gen front on a 1st gen truck but you'll half to change the fenders, hood, core support but they are the same body from the doors back.

83 to 88.
89 to 92 you need to take the core support and fenders.
If I was in that position I'd look for a new core support from what ever year I could find from 83 to 92 and go from there. If you find a 1st gen core support, look into either an EB grille or Aerostar grille conversion. Those look really cool.
