Hi everyone, Actually do not own a ranger as of right now...but going to pick up a 1989 Extended cab XLT in the morning for around $500. Plans for this truck is to put the entire running gear out of a 2003 - 2005 Ford crown vic interceptor into it. Not too many have tried it that I can find, so this should be fun. The first truck i ever built was a 1987 Ford Ranger 4x4. After blowing up the 2.9 (cracked the heads... one of them 17 places) I built a 2.8 out of a 84 ranger. was told it was close to 300HP. Also have stuck a 460ci and c-6 into a 1976 ford courior pickup and could close the hood! Used for mud racing only. Want to build a daily driver (Sleeper) out of this one and make it look as stock looking as i can from the outside.
