The guy i bought my ranger off of modified the stick shift and made it taller, so i went to shorten it back down took off all his stuff only to find out the shift knob doesnt fit, and i Cant find a big enough Drill bit at mine or my friends house to drill it out, Soooooo im driving around with just a Stick to shift! haha :thefinger:

I have an Ichibahn knob on mine, they are very universal. You plop a threaded base on the stick, with several different sized inserts, and use three setscrews to hold that in place, then thread the knob on over that. I've have this same shift knob on a T-9 and my M5OD.

If the shift stick is going to be a problem, you could always go to the junkyards to find another one. They are really easy to remove, only one bolt at the bottom, underneth the boot covering. As for the knob itself, those can be sometime hard to remove or to even put back on. One trick that some people do is to put the knob in the oven to make it workable. A oven temp of 150*F for 10~15 minutes should do it. I know when the collision center had my Ranger in the hottest days of summer, I pulled my knob off the stick because it is so hot.
