Hey folks...
I added two 130 watt KCs to my Ranger about a month ago. When my truck is idling with them on, sometimes it starts to "bogg" down and the amp meter starts bouncing. If I lightly tap the gas pedal, the needle spikes then nose dives, the lights also dim when this happens. Is it pulling to much current? Its a 98 and the alternator has about 50,000 miles on it and its a higher wattage alternator then stock, the battery is about two years but was the biggest battery I could fit.
It was a advanced auto alternator... Could it be time for a new one?
