well on my truck which might be a little different, I first take my sparkplug socket and finger it on there to make sure its on the plug. I then take my 6 in wobble socket and wrench and I can pull it out. to put it back in, I usually put plug in socket and finger tighten it enough to get it in, then attach wobble socket and tighten.
It is pretty hard to get that one in especially trying to keep it clean.

Jack the front end up and put it on stands. Take the tires off and replace the plugs through the wheel wells. It's a lot easier this way

On mine, on the passenger side, I did the front one from on top, the middle one through the wheel well, and the rear one from underneath. I also had it on a hoist at the time....

I was just wondering this. That seems ridiculous just for plugs.
I didn't really have any problems at all (maybe the 6'2" 130lb stature has something to do with it)

It's not ridiculous for the Dealer to charge you for their services,that's why they made it soooo hard to change.

the OHV motors really are not that hard, but I guess the new ones are a real PITA. Like I suggested earlier, if you take the wheel off and the plastic cover, it gives you direct access so you wont strip the plug or the threads in the motor. I know it makes a 10 min job a 30 min job, but I would it rather be a 30 min job then a week long job at the dealership to get the threads retapped...
