If you gys know anything let me know Thanks:beer:

Get the VIN and run an OASIS at the dealership. Keeping up with maintenance is a must with the 6.4.

i love that style of super duty

I'd go for it... the 6.4L is defiantly better than the 6L in terms of needing less work.:icon_thumby:

had a 2008 superduty and traded it for a 2010 great trucks no issue at all with anything, never had to take the 2008 back for any thing and the 2010 is doing great, would rather see the truck from the dealer or private owner, secondary dealers seem to have the stuff that went to auction or the dealer did not want, with superdutys if they are good the dealer would keep or handle a lease

Thats a big truck... lol Well i guess you could kick the tires a bit, maybe pop the hood and stare at the engine like you are examining parts. Then tell him you will give him half the price they want for it, and as you leave authoritatively wait for him to yell as he dives at your feet and begs you to buy it.

Lol sorry i have no clue about this stuff. Tis what i would do though... :P:icon_twisted:

Who the hell needs that pig? Are you hauling really heavy loads every day that you need something so huge?. I have friends who have them and they sit a lot in their yards. They hate the maintenance they have to do and trying to find diesel fuel whenever they go anyplace. They have to look for it and plan for their stops whenever they go places...that is why they hate them...it cost a lot to maintain.......but they do have to haul heavy stuff several times a month..not every day.

That's a Carmax dealer...Carmax does NOT negotiate on price at all. The price on the sticker is the price you pay. PERIOD.

And I agree with straycat. Only buy it if you actually NEED a truck that big.

Hey Guys Thanks

First let me start by thanking you for the feedback. Second I do hall big loads I've just about killed my F-150 pulling stuff. I don't think anyone would get a truck like that if they didn't hall heavy stuff or plan to. I am going to get a 5th wheel camper in the future so I'll need a big truck. I just didn't know much about the 6.4 L have done some research on them and have like what I have seen and not like what I've seen. It seems that any big maintenance items you have to pull the cab off te truck to get to stuff. Several people have said that it is easy to do ford made it that way. If it truly is than no biggy because get the cab off and everything would be super easy to get to better than most. If I get it Then at some point I guess I'll find out because everything breaks.:damnit1:
Again thanks for input going to look at it this weekend and I'll go from there.

If you want a truck that big and you can afford it then buy it. If I had enough money to i'd have one sitting in the driveway just because I like big trucks.

If maintenance has to be done where cab removal is a must you're going to need a lift to pick up the cab high enough to have plenty of room to work on it.

only bad thing about it is that i cant afford it. get it dude!! if u can of course.

i just saw one lunch a transfer case doing some light (and i mean light) plowing, after the dealer installed a 2nd tcase it lunched that one 3 days later...not my personal expieriance, a friend of mine, and i havent heard anything since...but still...something to think about
