for those swapong a 7.5 for the 8.8 flange there are a couple ways to go if you want to use your old driveline. one is a u-joint, part number 5-134x. there are 2 arms longer to take the larger explorer yoke on the rear flange, as well as the 2 regular length arms for the stock 1310? u joints found on the 7.5 rear end driveline. also there is the yoke that bolts to the stock 8.8 flange, that takes the stock 1310 u joints, part number c2-2-671 16. this replaces the stock u joint yoke for the 7.5 rear end, and bolts directly to the 8.8 flange.

I'm really interested in the c2-2-671 16 u-joint yoke, Do you know someone reputable that carries that, off-hand? Thanks!

i just drilled new holes in the flange and bolted things together, the stock shaft u joint holes are 2.5 inches square measured from the center of the holes, this is on an '87 ranger btw and it works just fine

:icon_rofl: yup! now my swap was the ex's driveshaft and the 7.5 axle, which requires you use two front flanges from the ex on your driveshaft.... that needs to be listed somewhere to,

if you keep your 7.5 and get an explorer d/shaft shortened to have u-joints instead of cv crap, you can use a front flange on the rear to make it bolt up perfectly!

damn you beat me to it. For a b2 you can use the front drive shaft out of an ex and get two of the front flange yokes from the rear driveline and she will bolt up giving you a driveline with u joints instead of cv's for around $60 :icon_welder:

I'd like to see you find a joint that mates a 8.8 flange to a B2 shaft.

This is what I did, but I used a 8.8 flange and mine cost me $10.

this is what i did too. actually it was 2 days ago haha. put the new 8.8 in and took off the flanges. measured twice, marked, measured again, then drilled, tapped, and installed. works beautifully so far...
