Most of us have learned that a larger throttle body will not really improve acceleration on the 3.0 Vulcan. I'm a bit different though. I put dual exhausts on my Ranger and noticed improved acceleration right away, not a lot, but a little. Sorry, i've got no data, except for the seat of my pants.

I got to thinking that maybe acceleration would be further improved in my case. Or would it still be the same, that the Vulcan needs still more improvements to really breathe?

There were a crazy old dude that had a website dedicated to the 3.Slow, and making it more better. I'll see if I can find it.

Different one than I was thinking, but that dude is amazeballs.

I don't know about amazeballs, but he is amazing at separating fools from their money.

I should add that isn't a crazy old dude.

I don't know, anyone that can sell that many practically useless parts for that much money has got something going on upstairs. He ain't young either, if PJ is right then old fits.

Still, I wonder if a larger throttle body will actually improve performance for a dual exhaust system. Anyone try it?

No, a bigger throttle body is mostly going to change your throttle curve, IE more air at less pedal movement, pretty much like the zip tie mod. To notice any increase in power you would likely only see it at high rpm say 5000rpm or above and likely not without some port work to the cylinder heads.
