I put in a new slave, now I cant get any movement down at the slave/pressure plate.
I watched the video on you tube that everyone is talking about and my master is different, there isn’t a place for the air to get trapped that I can see. The line coming from the reservoir is at the high end of the master, closest to the fire wall and the line going to the slave is at the low end of the master furthest away from the fire wall. So, from the slave up to the master and then to the reservoir is continuously "up hill" with no high spots for air to be trapped.
I'm at a loss here, I dont know what else to try. Should I just go buy a new master? I also let the truck sit over night to let air bubbles work themselves out. Tried tapping the lines too. Nothing has changed.

i recommend removing the master cyl and line anyway. you could still get air out.

remove the line from the transmission and make sure you can't push the clutch pedal down.

if you can still push it down then there is for sure air in the master/line

Well, I took the master cylinder out and bled the system just like in the you tube video. Worked great, I got a firm pedal almost right away.

The bad news is all of the internal clutch parts are new including the flywheel, and im getting a raspy sound when I try to drive it. When I pump the pedal with the engine off it all seems to be working fine. When I pump it with the engine running, I can hear the raspy sound when the pedal is almost all the way out and its a constant sound when moving.

I cleaned the pressure plate and flywheel before installing them. I put some grease on the face of the release bearing where it contacts the fingers of the pressure plate.

And to top it all off, my steering gear is leaking really bad (im sure it will be empty by morning) and there is no power steering even when the pump is full.

check the fluid level in your transmission. sounds like the transmission is done if all the clutch parts and throw out bearing are new

Before you do anything drastic, find out if it was necessary to put grease on the end of that throwout bearing where the fingers touch it. I don't think any grease is warranted. I am thinking that the release bearing must make solid contact with the clutch fingers and rotate with the clutch, letting the bearing inside do the moving. If that is correct (and I'm just guessing here) then that sound may be the bearing surface sliding on metal clutch fingers. If so, that should eventually go away after the grease wears off. So, I'm not much real help here, but I hope others more experienced will chime in and comment on whether to apply grease to those clutch fingers.

Good call on the fluid level. I'll check it. I thought about driving it to see if the sound goes away but I don't want to mess anything up worse than it is.
I read a thread on here about putting the grease on the face of the bearing and there was a small packet of grease in the box with the clutch so I used it.

After I check the fluid, I'm gonna put the rear on stands and let it idle in gear while I crawl under there to try to find the noise.
I wonder if it could be the carrier bearing. When I was under there the bearing looked questionable, I'd put in a new one but i'm trying to get a one piece d/s.

Got everything worked out:yahoo:. When I put the rear up on the stands and let the truck idle in gear, the noise was gone. As for the power steering, I just repeated the bleed procedure about 20 times and it works fine now. Still leaks bad though. I'm gonna try a new seal by the pitman arm.
Thanks to everyone that offered advice.
