WTH is this "SOLENOID" for?! A little QUICK HELP please?!

'87-88 Turbo Coupe (LA3) WIRING HARNESS is what's being used...

Trying to figure out if this is some kind of boost type of ordeal (I'll be using my own boost controller to "fool" the wastegate)! Which I personally don't think it is....

I BELIEVE its something like an EGR solenoid, I guess the wire got cut on it somewhere and I just taped around it for some odd reason?!?! Stupid.

THAT SAID, if it IS the "EGR Solenoid", I would be able to delete THAT as well - as i blocked off my EGR port after deleting it!

So... A little QUICK help would be GREAT! I would like to 100% finishing wrapping up this motor and harness (literally... Lol!) YESTERDAY - so we can start on the install!!!!

Also! If it IS an EGR solenoid, I CAN delete it right???

Because I deleted my EGR off of my intake mani with a blockoff plate....
 
Look like they might be for AIR injection. EGR won't have check valves.

And I would not delete the EGR system. You seem to me to be the kind of guy that sees all emissions items as power-robbing evil devices. EGR doesn't cost anything to keep around.

Damnit!!!! I either need to know if I can delete this weird thing that's NOT EVEN IN the LA3 WIRING SCHEMATIC OR FIND OUT HOW TO HOOK IT UP!!!! Shit...

And nah "ADSM08" (sorry buddy, dont know your name yet, though I need to because you ALWAYS help me out!) I don't think emissions are bad or power robbing WHATSOEVER! That's not the reason for the delete...

.... If you haven't noticed YET, I look for SIMPLICITY and that's exactly what it did, it got chopped off, right along with the knock Sensor. I'm a pretty smart guy, especially when it comes to the ACTUAL motor! Trust me, I can hear/feel a ping or a "knock" in a car... ALL DAY! If you cant, you shouldn't be driving something like this! Ya know? Its just a CLUTTER of EXTRA wires and more BS to diagnose when something fails, when in all actuality its HARDLY needed whatsoever! THAT'S ALL! lol... SIMPLE>MODERN - WHY FIX SOMETHING THAT'S NOT BROKE?!

Over and out buddy.... This thing doesn't even APPEAR to be on the LA3 schematic(sssssss)... Its VERY close to being hacked or "tapped", if I could just FIND where the HELL its supposed to tap in at! And even if I DO get the plugs right, its not guna matter because NO ONE can tell me what this bastard is, so how am I supposed to know what vacuum lines hook where and whatnot?!?!?! This ish is CRAZY!

EVAP HUH? If it IS that, will cutting it out or leaving it in make a difference? Like, is the EVAP just emissions or does it have VALUE to the motor? Would unhooking it make my truck run in only open loop or anything, or does it even have ANYTHING to do with that???

Do you have EVTMs for either vehicle yet? Trying to do this by asking the forum every time you have a question isn't going to go well.
