I have searched these forums and the web, and I am looking for dash speaker grills for my first gen 49k(verified through CARFAX) 1988 Ranger XLT super cab 4x4. If anyone knows where I can find them, I would buy them. I figure someone would have 3d printed them by now.
I’m restoring this truck for my wife.
Any help is appreciated.

If you haven't already, post this up in the wanted section of Classified section. You might get better exposure. Or one of us mods can move the thread for you. Posting here isn't necessarily wrong. You just might have better success there.

Please feel free to move the post. I’m literally ready to fab up my own covers out of aluminum.

You're talking about the metal coverplates that screw to the top of the dash in an 83-88?

If so I've got a few sets around here, just give me a couple of days to figure out where I stashed them.

He definitely has options

I now know where one set is, still attached to the dash top sitting in my shed. If you need them you can have them for cost of shipping. Should fit in a USPS flat rate box, but I'll have to figure out what size. Let me know if that's what you want to do, I'll pull them off and check on a box and rate.

Oh this would be great! Although I had some people PM me and try to scam me.

I’ll take them! Thank you

If somebody tried to scam you through TRS, you ought to let a moderator know about it.
They deleted the messages so I don’t have their profile names. I have Mit76 and they referred me to a Douglas Phillips.

Yes, that happens too much. Unfortunately, there's no real way to stop it. No membership review or vetting system is perfect, and the tighter you try to make it the more it discourages potential legitimate users from joining.

Always report PMs like those. Don't even reply, just click that report button down in the corner of the message. If anyone contacts you via PM asking you to do business off forum, report it, the moderators can sort it from there.

IMO it's best to conduct any business in the open forum until it comes to sharing contact information or addresses. Everything is out in the open, makes it easy to see what's going on and backup claims if thing goes south.

I’ll take them! Thank you
I have the same thing pictured in the NOS ads that @svtcards posted, except mine are used with some sun fading. I'll get them pulled and be near a post office on Tuesday, they're probably closed Monday anyway being Labor Day.
