When i 1st got this truck it had tranny problems. I took it to a local shop and the mechanic drove it with his portable computer hooked up to it.
code came up "searching for 5th gear" he said he believed someone had put a 4 speed in it.
Ive drove it around the farm and now have only drive and reverse and low manually.
I took it to another mechanic and he chked. it and said 5th gear solenoid and od solenoid was out. (it being a 4 speed,it would state that i guess)
so i dropped the pan and valve body and sure enough it has the green banded EPC. which comes in the 4r's
So im looking for a good 5r55e. my code on the door sticker is D which is the 5r55e.
im in ky, if anyone has a good one lmk. thanks
