ok i'd like to start by saying hello everybody i just joined. now for my issues. recently bought an 86 bronco II that wasn't running but wasn't "supposed" to take much. from what i understand part of the wiring harness got caught in the steering column don't know what all was damaged and it also had the motor swaped. the guy i got it from had it at another guy's house who was supposed to be working on it but couldn't seem to get it to run. well me being the impatient person i am decided to go check it out myself. started basic visual checks and then pulled the dipstick to check the oil. now i was told this guy was a mechanic but he'd had this bronco for almost two months my friend told me. the dip stick was covered in oil about 3/4 the way up!
i couldn't help but laugh. i then pulled the completly fouled plug and replaced them with some mismatched ones laying around and it fired right up. ran like s--t but was running. it was blowing some black smoke, missing like crazy, and soon fouled those plugs. since i have put new plugs, wires, distributer, had tfi tested, changed coil, and fixed a lot of sliced wired. at this point it won't even start. it was trying to fire but as i was cranking it earlier it quit doing even that. can some one please give me some advice here. i,ve had to walk away from this thing several times already
