Hey guys got a question for you. Im working on a car that had the engine changed in it. its a 1996 camaro. ya I know they are junk lol. so heres the question.. Some dink head cut the main wiring harness to change the motor . How can I use a ohms meter to spice them back together. IS there a easy way .

I had the car running then the fuel pump went and some other dink then messed with the wires thinking it was the wires and after that car did not run

in other words. I do my own work now and dont trust the pro;s in northern ny .

I have about 20 wires and alot of them are the same color . Im not getting a signal at the obd 2 port .

I cant find a uncut wiring harness thats priced good so I want to get it fixed on the cheap. I put all my money into my fords. :headbang:

Don't know of an easy way on the wires that are the same color code.

I use a wire "toner" to find out which wires are where.
The toner connects to a wire and then you use the toner "wand" find the other end of that 1 wire.
The toner puts an audio warbble tone on the wire that the wand picks up.
It's a slow process and in your case you will have to do twice the wires that are the same color code.

You will need a wiring diagram for that car that has the color code, that will really help in localizing where to look for each wire.
There are probably only a couple of connectors the wires go to inside the car and each should be labeled with numbers that the wiring diagram will have listed, as to what it goes to, that should save you some time

Autozone has Camero wiring diagrams
Google: 1996 camaro wiring diagram
