From what i've seen they use the simple krimp on terminals for everything. For some people they are the best possible solution. I prefer to make my own harnesses with factory style connectors. I also use weather pack connectors whenever possible.
Anyone can build a harness, It just takes a lot of time. You may end up with a few premature gray hairs, maybe a bald spot or two.

well i wanted to reuse the oem connectors if i could i just though the painless kits might have new ones, and i already have gray hair and im only 20

What are you doing anyway? Swapping in a different motor, Or going from carb to Efi or vice versa? In these circumstances you can use most of the wiring that is presantly in the truck. You just have to change a few wires to accomodate.

yea im putting in a 302 in to my 90 ranger that had a 2.9 in it. i took out all of the engine bay wiring there is nothing left in there. but the chassis harness is still there, i just gott find a good wiring diagram to find out which wire goes with what. hanes suck good for toilet paper.

im doing the same thing in my 93 undecided still on the painless harness or keep whats in it i would like to keep as much as i can original running a carbed 302
