Why does the 4.0 OHV sound so different from the 4.0 OHC?

After looking through exhaust videos on youtube I realized all the best sounding 4.0 Rangers I found on there were of the OHV variety.

Both engines have the same displacement and same firing order, so why do they sound so dissimilar? The OHV has more of a V8-ish choppy sound where the SOHC has more of an import-type sound. Did they have different cam profiles?

just a thought but might be because most v8's you would hear are overhead valve and most imports are overhead cam.
