Why did I buy this thing

Or, simply buy good gas. Stations that sell Shell or Mobile put fuel cleaners such as techron in their gas. This helps keep the injectors clean, along with the valve tops from building up.

Been using these two for years. Knock on my head, I've not had a faulty injector problem to date.[/QU

You have never felt the need to treat your fuel system? Condensation builds in the gas tank regardless of where the fuel came from.
A couple of things I do to keep the condensation down in the gas tank...one, I keep the tank full when the colder temps reach us here in sunny south Florida. temperature variations are what build up this condensation the most, so keeping the tank topped off helps.

Second, I have the luxury of parking my cars in the garage. Yep, I'm a rare one apparently, as I see the rest of my neighbors use their garage to store "junk". Keeping the car in the garage helps keep temperature variations from building up condensation in the tank.

And as stated, using a quality gas with additives already blended in keeps me from having to buy it and add it in to my tank manually.

And last, living in Florida, where I don't have harsh wintery conditions to contend with!

The Red River Valley is far less forgiving and the garage is not climate controlled, soooo

This is what happened to me twice. Both times fuel pump. Try the fuel pump. I was told it wasnt it but after replacing it i spun the tires half way down the block...
