Which solenoid do I need?

Hey, I’ve been working real hard to pass emissions, and I got one code left!

87 - (Vehicles with 2BBL carb - temperature compensated accelerator pump solenoid)

I used a VS77 generic binary vacuum solenoid (maybe it isn’t the right resistance or something???) and ran the vacuum lines correctly, 100% positive. No dice.

I obviously need a different solenoid but the internet, Chilton, Haynes, and the original EVTM are proving useless and the only junkyard one has it ripped out. Anyone willing to pull a model number from theirs or have knowledge to share? Thanks!

You misunderstand. I probably did too. Are you not looking for the original solenoid? I tagged 85_Ranger4x4 to ask him if he might have that part. I know he's said his 2.8 is still in storage...
