so, i installed my skyjacker 6 inch with the longer radius arms, and somehow i havnt been able to find the right shocks yet. im afraid to use the shocks that mount with pins like the stock ones did, so now i bought a shock mount conversion kit, where they allow you to run a bolt through the eye on the shocks, but this causes the shocks to mount lower than usual, and it seems like my 6 inch lift shocks are to long now. so if anyone else has the skyjacker 6 with radius arms, how did you mount your shocks and which ones did you use?

I used shocks Skyjacker normally recommends for a 6" lift. (pt# N8055)

Why are you afraid to use the stock stud-mount setup?

ive been told that since they mount on the radius arms, when the truck droops or flexes too much the shock will become slanted instead of mounting straight up and down, and the stud will bend or snap under the weight

Thats why they have bushings. You'll be fine.

If you are really worried about it do the f250 shock tower mod.

well, sometimes i mob my truck through the desert and over dirtbike woops, like its a crappy prerunner, and im worried that the shocks will bind up, but then again i dont really know that much anyway, and if you guys say they can handle it then i trust yuh. i have a set for a six inch lift that mount with studs, so i will probably just throw those ones on.

Haven't seen that happen... (not with the correct length shocks used, anyway... if your bumpstops are too short, or not installed, then that's a different issue which can lead to the lower bolt shearing or the shock getting crushed).
