Where is the best place to get new heads for a 3.0L?

I'm looking for a set of Heads for my 3.0L, checking each of the local auto parts stores.

Main reason for the change is I believe one is cracked, and while taking the heads off, I found the head on the drivers side has 2 sheared exhaust manifold bolts. I also have one sheard exhaust manifold bolt on the passenger side head, and I broke an easy out, and burnt up two drill bits trying to get that piece of bolt out.

So I've decided to go ahead and replace the heads, just to make my life easier, even though its not cheaper.

Right now I'm seeing two brands, PowerTorque and Moores. I'm just curious if anyone knows which is the better brand, since it appears the warranty is the same on both.

Nope!

Wow thanks, hadn't thought of looking on E-Bay.

You didn't say where you are.. But heads and engines are best purchased locally. The farther away the vendor is, prolly the worst service you will get.
I use local folks or at most only as far as I wish to drive to their shop..

Well from looking at that E-Bay posting, seller is in GA and I'm in VA plus its free UPS ground shipping. So overall it looks like a good deal, and from a refined search, this guy is closer than the other sellers.

That seller is Dover heads, they have a good reputation in the rebuild business for all their makes that they rebuild, also where others refurbish, Dover does a complete new rebuild & they have excellent machines to do the work on, Purchased several sets for replacement on other vehicles. You wont be disappointed with them.

Well ordered a set from Dover Cylinder Heads, they got shipped yesterday. I should get them either tomorrow or Friday. So far my only drawback is O'Reily Auto Parts didn't put in the order for my new pushrods until today, so I won't see those until this time next week.

At least I'll be able to get a good portion of everything back together this weekend as long as the weather holds out.

Its this one in GA:

Yes, I know you bought from the GA company, but is that the one JP02XLT says; "they have a good reputation in the rebuild business"? Both may be OK, but if you want actual experience comments you may want clarification on which one. I personally don't trust Fleabay listings.

Well got the heads on Thursday, they were packed very well for shipping. Both heads looked excellent and I'm awaiting some breaks in the weather to get them on the truck.
