whats the easiest v-8 to swap into a 1993 4 cylinder ranger

Unless you plan on working a SBF, you'll only be making 200-235hp depending on the engine. However, a 2.3L turbo will put you in the 250-260 range with some (cheap or free) playing around. This is why I say 2.3L for you. Its just something to consider. Also, its cheaper to make 350hp with that 2.3L than it is to do with a SBF. After that power level, then they both start to become expensive and boosting a v8 becomes the economical route.

:icon_rofl::icon_rofl::bsflag: Who told you all that ? :icon_rofl::icon_rofl:And you missed the part about the torque output of a turdbo 2.3. THAT'S the true measure of how one performs against another. The 2.3 is fine and dandy in a 1500-2000 lb car, but not in a 3000-3800 lb truck. Rev it up, dump the clutch and watch it die. The 5.0 in my 89 puts out well above the 235 hp level, with all stock parts.

mine made around 240 also when it was stock it now has gt40x aluminum heads ported and polished a e cam 1.7 roller rockers ported airgap intake built aod 3200 stall and my truck stock was faster than my buddies mustang svo its way faster than a 5.0 mustang now im thinking like mid 13s in the quarter N/A and 12s with boost or n2o and on a side note my truck wieghs less than a mustang gt vert 5.0 rangers are fun and pretty easy as long as you got time and some skill i made my motor mounts from mustang ones and some fabracation it started as an 88 gt drivetrain
