Spare you can fit in the spare tire carrier under the bed?

I know we brought this subject up before on this site. Search for it. I do know on my 99 Ranger I got a 30x9.5x15 to fit really good with the stok spare wheel (7 inches wide). It was snug but it worked.

I recently put a 255-70R-16 spare on my truck, so I could have a true full-size spare. It fits perfectly, but barely. I don't think anything bigger will fit.

damn I was hoping to fit a full size spare there lol. but I run 31's

You might be able to fit a 31, just try it and see if it works. The other thing to think about is lifting it up may be awkward. Just give it a try and let us know

I'll give it a try next time I have the tire off I'll at least try some measurements lol. I figured I might have to coerce it a bit, maybe involve mr torch or mallet...lol

Haaaahaaaaa....lol. I know I say that lot...'cause so many of the post are brought up over and over again. And the post are about something all of us have already talked about and it drives me crazy that only a few people are using the search function. I use it several times a week if I want to ask a question about something before I post a question. Hell....Jim might as well take the search feature off the site as well as the tech section since most people are not willing to use it.
