what would you carry for spares in Baja?

vice grips! lots of em. they can be used to pinch broken brake lines, replace nuts that have rattled off, pinch steering columns together....and these are just uses ive had for em lol

spare brake lines are great to have. both hard and soft (no need to mention that they have the same fittings on em as the rest of the truck) definitely spare wheel bearings. spare bolts of various sizes. fuel filter is a good idea. alternator just cuz its cleap. spare starter, if youre going alone, those max trax board things are amazing to have incase you get stuck in a wash or something. the fluids mentioned above and obviously a spare tire. CASH for the federalies, mountain money, tequila and your party panties.

ill look into starter and alternator along with a Haynes manual for any Maintenance on the road. Parts and such is what I’m most curious about, I’ll for sure be changing over a good amount into pesos before the border. Party panties are the only kind i wear.

I also decided I’ll stop being cheap and just order a full size spare, because its the right thing to have and since I’m running 33x10.5x15 it may be a hard size to find on the road and may have to be ordered. Which would mean a delay, at least if I have one I may be able to keep moving and order it for a stop along the way and pick it up 5 days later.

yeah definatly a full size spare thats a must. especially if you get a bush branch in the side wall of a rear tire. youll have to put a front on the rear and the spare on the front. screw all that noise.
