What wheel/tire options do I have for a '93 Splash?

The original 205 75R14's tires are hard to find. I have two sets of original Aluminum Wheels, and would like to stick with those, but a 15" option might work for me in the future....I expect to keep this truck forever...114,000 miles, no rust, cute.

The rear end gear ratio is on the high side, good for highway, not so much for work around the farm.
If I go with 195 65 R14's from my Subaru stockpile, I will have smaller wheels and hence "lower gear ratio".

Any other ideas on how to get tires on this thing? Sources for the 205's?

Best thing is to change to 15" wheels. Many more options for tires than with 14"

Rangers share bolt patterns with some very well supported vehicles (Mustangs, Jeeps, 350Zs, etc) so you have tons of options. Just have to find ones that you like within your budget. Same for tires.

I have 15" explorer wheels (and hubcaps) on my '95. Drop in fit. They came of a 1993 but they're a design I more commonly associate with later model Explorers and rangers. Looks completely stock to the layperson.

I also have some old ranger wheels (riveted aluminum) sitting on my deck... 3 original, one an american racing (or the like) clone. Bought for cheap years ago, but found my current rims at Pull-A-Part and made the swap. They're a bit ugly (clearcoat shot) and hubcaps are an issue... but I ain't using them and they do fit. ;)

swapping out a whole rear axle is pretty simple, Get a 4.10 ratio assembly and never look back. Run 15’s, they look better, are easier to find and much more options (all season, mud, highway, snow )

At this point 15's are getting kinda slim too. I went to 16's. and you can still get something close for overall tire size.

205/60R16 and 205/65R16 are both 1.5% difference in height from a 205/75R14
205/70R15 (Which is still common new. Not so much used around.) is only a 0.7% difference.

All 3 of those sizes are within a speedometer margin of error for size.

I've also run 215/65R215's on mine (Continental Control Contact Tour A/S, to be exact)... Speedo was still accurate (GPS confirmed). Hence why I suggested 15's.

Went back to 215/70R15 Cooper Cobra's for a combination of cost and aesthetic (white lettering) reasons. Didn't get the advertised mileage (not even on the rears, no burnouts!) and performance wasn't any different. Not bad tires... but wasn't worth the extra $$ when it came time to replace them.

I would personally go for 17 inch
