What replacement for brass fuel sender float '90 Ranger?

There is a plastic one for Jeeps that is very very similar in dimension. I have one for the next time my brass one breaks, but I haven't tried installing it yet. I was impatient and repaired the brass one.

You can drill the ends of the crack, drain it of fuel, and patch over the hole with rosin core solder. I did that to the one in my BII earlier this year. So far it has lasted longer than the float did from new before it cracked the first time.

Plastic is fine, you can bend the loop of the float holder if it ends up being the wrong size... just has to float is all.

I haven't soldered one before but that is a good option too. I have a stack of about 10 spare sending units so I hope I will never have to be that drastic.
