I just bought a 99 B2500 and I am putting some money into it with clutch issues. I want to wait a couple of months to put a timing belt on it. Wanting some input on when you guys change yours.

look in the owners manual. mine says 60k

I had a 1998 with the 2.3 in it and in the owner's manual the only thing mentioned in the maintenance schedule is a belt inspection at 120,000 miles.
For the longest time 60,000 was the recommended interval, but timing belts along with tires nowadays are much more durable. I would replace the belt at 100,000 miles.
If the belt breaks the engine won't be harmed, but you'll need a tow!

Replaced mine at 120,000 miles. Right after it broke. So yeah, 100,000 miles is probably a good time to think about it. And save yourself a little time down the road, go ahead and replace the tensioner as well. Just cheap insurance.
