Thank you very much for the answer, and the dataThat's your thermostat housing. It isn't worth trying to replace the pipe on the housing. You'd spend more in materials and time than just purchasing a new housing.

Thank you, that is a good procedureRemove it, drop it in a pail of vinegar for a day or 2. The weak acid will remove the rust and not affect good metal.
