Water Pump Brands & Block Heater

Now that my starter is done, I need to do the water pump because it has started to weep. Is there a particular brand that I should get? I know it's best to buy only Motorcraft brand parts for certain things (i.e. fuel pump) or is there another brand that can be recommended? I'm also thinking about putting a proper block heater in at the same time. I currently have one in my lower radiator hose. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Well, I don't have any reccomendations for a brand of water pump, but when I need to figure out what brand of part will last the longest, this is what I do: I ask the parts guy(a REAL parts guy, not some Autozoner idiot) to pull up all the available brands he has of that part, and to tell me how many of them he sells, as opposed to how many of those he has had to warranty. All parts stores I deal with have this info readily available, and they should be willing to give it to you if you ask.
