Wanting to turbo my 2.3 need help

i have a 91 2.3. im wanting to get more low end power to help my towing. i haul dirtbikes in the back every weekend and haul a small trailer everyday. so i need some more power but i dont want to effect my fuel mileage. ive seen turbo kits on ebay for a 2.3 duratec for $1000. but i dont know what a duratec is. mine is the 4cyl with 8 plugs. i just need some info on if i should go that route or should i try somthing else. i good at wrenching and pretty smart when it comes to engine work but this is my first 4cyl and my first ford (mazda, mitsu...WE). any info will help. also do those chips actually work like they say they do. You can check the tech library, theres a right up on installing a turbo on a 2.3l or installing a turbo 2.3l.

I'm thinking about doing the same thing.

what about these gforce power chips, any info on if they work. i want to order one but i would hat to spend $70 on sometyhing that does work
