My credo
built her in a storage unit
i have a 1988 ranger 2.3 4 cylinder block + head + accessories, and i want to run as close to the latest model carbed versions of the 2.3 engine (2bbl carb whatever) as possible, i want to use an original ford 2.3 aluminum intake made for a carb. which vehicles have the carbs and intakes i need? are there different versions of the carbed intakes? which one should i be looking for? did Ranger 2.3's ever come with a carburetor from factory? (not the 2.0) my block has a distributor/the hole for it, whats the cheapest/easiest way to get spark? Duraspark dizzwop + HEI? i am going to just keep the 1991 4.0 power accessories underhood harness and unplug the engine harness from the two big connectors and leave it be? i am going to run the original accessories and brackets (no a/c) or the later model serp belt brackets (if they fit which i think someone told me they do with a bit of drilling) will a 1988 ranger balancer that has the two pullies on it spin a late model serp belt? or should i just get a later model balancer? i want to keep the in-tank electric pump system, i need to run a lower pressure pump? you guys are the best!
