My credo
A legend to the old man, a hero to the child...
I have no exhaust currently from the cat back so i did what any reasonable ranger owner would do and went on crapazon and ordered the cheapest bolt on shit i could find.

Didnt realize it till last night when i got the shipping email that the muffler i ordered is a "walker soundFX"...

Its not some loud obnoxious ricer muffler is it? It looks pretty normal but i want something close to factory noise levels.

From Walkers Website.

OE-EQUIVALENT DIRECT-FIT DESIGNS FOR EASY INSTALLATION AND QUICK SERVICE BAY TURNAROUND
  • Quality performance and acoustics
  • 100% Aluminized material for longer life and quality appearance

Looks like your run of the mill standard replacement muff

I seen that...but nothing really about the noise level lol. Oh well its gotta be better then it is now...at certain RPMs it reverberates in the cab to the point my ears hurt.

you can also just put a longer pipe to exit from under the bed to get rid of the horrible sound in the cabin.

I ordered a whole exhaust. The tailpipe broke about a year ago, then the muffler fell victim to a rutted dirt road, then the pipe between the cat and muffler broke off at the flange.

If we get a shitty amount of snow ill be starting it at 2am to go to work...the neighbors already dont like seeing it much less hearing it

oh ya. the straight pip out the back or side definitely won't endear you to the neighbors

My neighbors already think im nuts after they seen me using the winch on my quad to drag a mattress from the basement

Walker's Sound FX mufflers are basically cheaper stock mufflers that don't come with a lifetime warranty. I agree with the guys recommending a full length exhaust.
