this was the first remembrance day that there was no veteran from the first world war in attendance.

canada's last ww1 vet died in february of this year.he was 106

I still wonder why I made it back & others didn't.....so I thank God that he was with them when they gave all they had.

I remember hearing that on the radio, it was something that really made me think about morality and everything else. One guy left that represented a full era of Canadian history gone.
