Happy Veterans Day to you all that do and have servered.

Thank you for your service and sacrafices.

Thanks to all that have served before me and are yet to serve after me.

As a veteran of OEF, Operation Enduring Freedom, it is not enough to just recognize veterans for 1 day in November. If you see someone wearing the hats that say 'Veteran of......', member in uniform or if you are good enough to spot a veteran without any of those, shake their hands and say Thank you.

I do this myself because I know that serving this country is a thankless unselfish act and vets/AD/RES/Guard deserve the respect that should be given to them.

I put this challenge to you; shake a veterans/AD/Res/Guard members hand any time you see them and say Thank you. This little gesture can go a long way.

The only response that is acceptable is 'Challenge Accepted'.

I was surprised at how many places give free meals or appetizers to active duty and vets. We went into Publix Wednesday and they give 10% off your purchase for being a vet. Plus we had many coupons for discounts. We saved right at 43 % with all the discounts. We went to Outback that night with two friends and we got free appetizers with our meals. It made me feel good that so many people do so many great things for our military community!!!
