My friend has a 2003 Ranger with a 4.0L and the problem is, there is a vacuum hose that had a piece rub a hole into it, the piece is on the upper intake and it is a 90 degree turn, the problem is, we can't figure out how to fix it we put some gasket silicone over the hole, but the line still crushed itself, is there any guesses how to repair it or is it a simple pop it off and go to the parts store for a replacement? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Also, beyond my vague description, we don't really have any clue what the part is.

Thanks again.

Are you saying the vacuum line had a hole in it? If so just replace the vacuum line. Hose costs at most $5 for a couple feet, or get the parts guys to run to the back and cut you a section of fuel line to use as vacuum line.

we got it worked out. advance auto pulled through and had the stuff we needed to get it fixed- or at least make our own fix. thanks for the help.
