Sounds like a desperation post lol.

A ford tech will have seen these symptons (?)

2010 Ranger...base model....2.3 duratec/auto (140k)...has A/C. Other than exteded cab that's it. Crank windows, manual locks/windows, No cruise control...AM//FM radio, lol. (I'm a simple bastard that appreciates a reliable rig) .

My turn signals work great, then just stop working COMPLTELY ! Hazards still work, albeit the switch seems sticky. Read through multiple pages...no easy answer.

Some put in a new flasher/relay under the drivers side dash.

Had the infamous "ploom of smoke" under the column on the '99. Corrected by replacing the flasher.

Think looking at the flasher may be a good start ?

The more I read about the mother f er sw+tch, the more I wonder where to start?

Whatever I can figure out/solution I will follow up on and share. Searched like crazy in forums...know where to look, many links

Are you saying they work good and stop sometimes or are they completely dead right now? If dead check fuse 20 in the cab fuse box.

If they don't work at all check the fuse. If the fuse is OK suspect the flasher.

If they come on and stay on the flasher is bad.

The flashers were a problem on those years.

Sometimes they work perfect, sometimes not at all. Just bought the truck and they worked for the half hour test drive (imagine that lol). I'll start chasing it and will report back like I wish everyone would do once they solve their specific issue. Trying to get motivated. 15 degrees, fresh 6" of snow to clear :(

Hit up the JY and find a flasher. I think that's your issue.

Be grateful you aren't in Erie.

Correct Indeed ! Thanks...

Not near the snow you get east of Cleveland thankfully. I was just lazy enough to try this approach as opposed to the yard.

Looked up the 15.99 auto zone special. Black in color square EP27. Duralast p/n #19273. Lifetime warranty, supposedly an "exact fit" for my 2010 Ranger. 5 prongs matched up but it didn't have the outer collar/clip for harness. Plugged it in and ZAP ! History....

I believe it's used for LED. Plus I have a trailer harness if it matters.

Ended up spending 35 at NAPA. Echlin AR6720. Blue, identical to the Chinese FoMoCo one. Mounts to the metal tab with two plastic push plugs under the left side of the column. Drove around town a couple hours, good to go !!!

I think Autozone would get the exact fit of my $15.99 back into my pocket as their part did fit, but did not fit electrically. Let their catalog gnomes know of their error and the waste of your time. Refund. 100%.

Thanks Tom,

I took it back, they would only offer a replacement under the lifetime warranty. I contended they sold me the wrong part and i wanted a refund or credit, still the answer was no...
I then offered to take the replacement under warranty, have the manager come outside with me to watch me plug it in and zap it. They decided to give me a credit, so I bought the oil change special !
