TRS needs direction. Suggestions?

^+1. I will be ante-ing up the 10 bucks as soon as I leave work today. With all the people in my town glaring at my truck, a TRS sticker would help. If the magazine idea caught on, instead of leaving it on the back of the toilet hand it off to a Ranger driver at the gas station. Simple word of mouth advertising. I have a friend that is an ASE Ford mech. and the had never heard of the site, now he browses it at work from time to time. Says he can justify it to the dealership as "research". Thank to TRS for giving me something other than porn to look at.

PAID IN FULL MOFO's!!! Put up the 10, you could wipe your butt with a ten and not miss it. Thanks to all for the help. Jim, the truck is Wedgewood blue with tinted windows, if that makes a difference in sticker selection.:yahoo:

I think the site is great the way it is. If you're trying to make money off the site, then I don't know what to suggest. But if you're just trying not to lose money on the site, assuming you're not, then keep things as they are.

I came and return here as a resource for information about Rangers and to get help with modifying and rebuilding, etc. Less frequently, I go to rangerpowersports.com.

On the topic of older Rangers getting out to manufactures the amount of 1st 2nd & 3rd gen Rangers are out there. I am in the interior of British Columbia Can. in a area with a population of just 500,000 for the region in a Provence of 4.5 million total I see old Rangers by the car lot full driving around and lots of new ones too. I don't know if this is unusual or not but if not it means there is still a huge market for parts for older Rangers. This site might not be perfectly organized it is a lot better then the other major Ford & RBV sites I get a lot of information from the Serious Explorations site and from Ford Trucks .com but find it a lot easier to find stuff here (if , of course it is on the site). Oh I submitted a review on Belltech 6400 shackle install that could warrant going in the Library?

This thread is turning to much towards money. My concern is helping to ensure the site continues to grow and offer a valuable resource. The best way to do that is to get input from the members as to how we can improve the site.

Well you do need a small amount of money to cover expenses

but thats not what he is concerned about with this thread. he is just wanting to know what people want from the site and what we would like to see on the site

True it's not about the money for me, it's about providing funds to keep a valuable resource going. I guess all in all, I would like to see more aftermarket vendor participation. As a new Ranger owner I look to this site for advice/tech support, and to have one stop shopping at places that support this site would be great.

I also agree with 4x4 junkie.

I am currently and engineering student and have worked with engineers in an internship. They do everything by the books now. Ford could benefit from a site like this by letting us abuse the product and explain to them what needs to change. The members of this website are more engineering inclined than most people with the degree to back it up. Nothing can replace real world experience.

The people on this website could easily design a new Ranger that could out do anything Ford has every made. V8, straight axle, with manual everything would come back into style. But they would never give us a chance to show them what truck enthusiasts want now. If we wanted to earn respect, the Ranger Station should design a Ranger and submit it to Ford as the new design for the next Gen of Ranger (if the make one).

Just my 2 cents.
