So I decided to get a new valance for the front of my 06. It has a hitch installed so when I got the new one I held it up and marked where to cut some notches for the tow hooks and all that. Of course when I went to put it on it is too short on the ends and the tabs that hold it on don't match up. I told the shipper what happened and that I wasn't expecting a refund because I cut it up before checking the fitment. They sent me a 25 dollar refund anyway. Nice. So I ordered another from different vender. It came the other day and I just went out and it is short just like the other one. Not sure what is going on but does anyone know if they made different front bumpers for 4x4 or XLT or whatever other models of the 4x4? I put all the info in correctly but I keep getting the wrong valance.

I moved this post over to the exterior section...

I have an 06 and thought they were all the same.

You appear to be experiencing the same difficulties I went thru some 3 years ago when I was trying to get a new replacement front bumper for my '98. 3 different sourced asian made bumpers & the valance didn't fit the truck.
Items ordered from LMC were all aisian (they could not supply a domestic made piece), Rockauto as well supplied aisian junk, Carid supplied aisian junk.
The aisian valance would fit the aisian bumper but not the original bumper. The aisian bumpers were all approx 1" too short across the front corners of the truck and as such would not wrap around the front to the sides properly.

That might just explain everything.

Thats whats happening to me. Did you ever find a place that has the correct part?

No, I couldn't find a new old stock piece at all, I had to wait until I came across a good condition used OEM bumper that was on a local truck being parted out.
