Tremor Package -Pioneer Head Unit

I love this truck and the sound system..........when it works.
It is plenty loud enough for an old guy like me, but the unit is old; just like me.

The digital display is not readable anymore, only a faint blue glow at night.
When cranked, the slightest bump in the road makes it cut out.
I've checked all the speaker and woofer connections and they're all tight.
Stranger still is it cuts out when I turn right too. Something else, it acts worse when it hot outside. I am 99% certain it's the HU.

All I want to do is replace the HU and leave everything else alone.
I understand this system can be a pain in the butt, but what are my options?

Pioneer has some nice double din head units at and good price. I put one in my Ranger and one in our Explorer. I'm very happy with them.
